Design so farrr....
yeah the site is big and zero trees in it ... i was trying to add some passive heating system in the building but it seems really complex to do. .. for now the simple large openings must work ....
as y cab see the south view is curved but a bland wall.. will need more work there...
I dont understand the function of the outside exhibition but it must be exhibition of the Stone sculptures. Right??
well so far.. upto here

More Revit Process for the Freemason Project
Mass testings to bring the form to a usable 3 dimensional form |
Second try at the form ... the wavy form is too organic for a building |
the form had a exterior part but forgot to record it, this was a addition of the atrium to the south by removing the second peel |
added the second peel but also re-worked on the form from start to get a slightly smoother shell |
Freemason Lodge Project
the Freemasons reminded me of a shell that is like a stone supporting yet creating movements that are collecting and creating a huge motion...
First try at bringing the shell and its powerful arms in motion |
tried to put the core in a square form to fit the city site |
one arm, shell texture added but still something missing |
a shell with 2 sets of arms but the form is too ... symmetrical |
tried to change the color but still it felt like a symbolic shiva linga than a shell whose arms are creating motion on its behalf |
didnt work |
I thought this one worked a bit |
one on right seemed like a good choice as it had a good form and better central sphere as well as stronger arms |
final try at a cylinder as a core and form of the all seeing EYE |
textured form of the previous one.. looked better but... |

Changes VI
moved some elements and increased the width of the building for more usable area than the visible area... columns create some areas that are very specific in use |
Dark wall to act like direct gain(thermal mass), and the stage has incline for seating now and door at base and stairs for back seating(stair view of the museum space is also encouraged) |
the exterior of the building at right becomes the interior of the building at left... color and material addition to everything |
lot of windows to south for heat gain... skylights all removed (leakage problem might occur due to snow there but the direct gain per area is higher there) |
Various Changes III
Checking the Area for confirmation and minor changes (the presence of columns had reduced the real usable area... so more changes) |
reduced the number of skylight (Guggenheim Museum had too much light problem according to the managers) |
open view to the small area of the lake (sunset lighting.... realized there was a lot of light coming in) |
The minor changes to save the space (gift shop storage for merchandise storing.. but.. might not be required so had to remove that in future design) |
Various Changes II
More changes to accommodate the storage and preparation rooms |
attempt to replicate aurora borealis' stratification |
column with christian elements I've tried to add |
column with viking elements I've tried to add |
You can see rest rooms and the round lure of the audio/visual room |
